Will Devender Goud form Telangana TDP?

Rumor mills in Hyderabad are busy with the speculation about the new party by TDP leader Devender Goud. As per rumors, if Telugu Desam Party leadership doesn’t agree for the formation of separate Telangana state, He will form a new party – Telangana Telugu Desam.

Devender Goud’s actions added fuel to these rumors. Though he met TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu on New Year day, he is spending most of the time to meet Telangana area leaders, professors and students.

As per political observers, he has big plans about future. What are his future plans?

As per sources, He wants to form a big organization for the welfare of BC’S, SC’S and ST’S. He wants to become “Andhra Ambedkar”.

But, Devender Goud is keeping his plans close to his chest.

On New Year day, he was greeted by students, professors and officials of Telangana region.

If Devender Goud forms a new party, it is a big loss for Telugu Desam Party in the Telangana region.

Congress will benefit immensely due to split in the TDP votes.

An astute leader like Devender Goud doesn’t know these statistics? Will he take wrong step?

Telugu Desam in dilemma over Telangana

As per recent reports, Telugu Desam Party is in dilemma over Telangana separate state demand. True strength of a leadership is decided in adverse conditions.

Leadership should identify the following facts:

1. Telangana TDP leaders are feeling insecure about their future.

2. Andhra leaders are gradually becoming flexible over separate state demand.

3. TDP will face this issue even in the 2009 assembly elections.

4. Communist parties are weakening their stand on separete state issue.

5. If TDP stood on united state platform, it is going to face stiff opposition in the Telangana region in the next assembly elections. Party may lose cadre also.

My Opinion: Telugu Desam Party must be flexible on this issue. It should send positive signals to the demoralised cadre about Telangana issue. In the mean time, it should fight on the people's issues to protect its vote bank.
Please comment on Telangana issue.

What lessons Telugu Desam should learn from these By Elections

TDP lost Bobbili and got third place in Karimnagar by elections. No one in the party expected these results and party cadre again went into depressive mood. Thease are the testing times for party leadership. Telugu desam party should get into aggressive mood to lift the activists and second rung leaders into energetic mood to face the aggressive chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Lessons from the Karimnagar and Bobbili by elections :
1. These elections high-lighted the anti government mood among the voters. But, TDP once again failed to convert them into votes.

2. Telangana voters are wanting a separate state. This slogan will once again take promonence in the 2009 Assembly elections. So, TDP leadership should understand the ground realities. It is the time Telugu desam should review its views on Telangana.

3. TDP should attack congress aggressively as this chief minister will go any extent to win the 2009 Assembly elections. He is the Lalu of Bihar. He is trying to spread the Rayalaseema faction methods to the whole state. WAKE UP AND PROTECT THE CADRE.

4. Muslims are still voting for Congress even after TDP broke its relationship with BJP. It is really a big concern for the party. In the NTR time, Andhra Pradesh muslims were voted for Telugu Desam.

5. TDP leaders should take into consideration the views of its Telangana leaders on this burning issue.
