Video: Lokesh-Brahmini Marriage highlights

“Marriage of the Decade” between Nara Lokesh and Nandamuri Brahmini was held in the traditional way at Hitex in Hyderabad. This marriage not only strengthens ties between Nara and Nandamuri families, it will assume more significance in future political events. The marriage which was attended by 1200 guests is a dream comes true for Balakrishna fans and Telugu Desam activists. Chandrababu Naidu will face Congress onslaught with more vigour.

Marriage Video:

Will Balakrishna take active part in Telugu Desam politics? Does Nara Lokesh have “it” (political leadership) in him? Will TDP seniors allow the domination of Nandamuri family? What are the future plans of Junior NTR?

Most popular persons among TDP activists

I have conducted a small survey to find out the popular leaders in the Telugu Desam Party during Mahanadu. Party activists still have resounding faith in the Nandamuri family. Paritala Ravi is still revered as “Hero” by TDP activists cutting across all regions. Surprise finding of the survey is GMC Balayogi and Y. Madhava Reddy are more popular than some of the current Politbureau members. Paritala Sunitha, Roja, Mullapudi Renuka and Nannapaneni Rajakumari are popular women leaders.

Popularity among TDP activists:

1. N.T. Ramarao
2. N. Chandrababu Naidu
3. Paritala Ravi – He is more popular than Chandrababu Naidu in the youth.
4. N. Balakrishna
5. N. Harikrishna
6. Ramoji Rao
7. Nagam Janardhana Reddy - He is the rising star in the Party.
8. T. Devender Goud - He is liked by Telangana activists but disliked by Andhra and Rayalaseema activists.

Leaders like Karanam Balarama Krishna Murthy, Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Yerram Naidu and Bhooma Nagireddy are popular only in select regions.

I request more comprehensive survey to find out the opinions of party activists regarding party leaders.

Marriage of the decade in August

Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu’s son, Lokesh, will marry Tollywood top hero Balakrishna’s daughter, Brahmani, in the last week of August. “The marriage of the decade” will have far reaching implications on the politics of Andhra Pradesh. Image Courtesy: Eenadu.

Though Chandrababu Naidu is against marriages within close relatives, he agreed to this alliance because of bride’s great qualities like intelligence, middle class behaviour and good upbringing. Chandrababu Naidu married Balakrishna’s sister Bhuvaneswari. So this alliance will further strengthen the relations between both families.

Lokesh is studying MBA at Stanford while Brahmani has just written her 3rd year engineering exams.

It dispelled all the rumours about Balakrishna’s political plans like joining Congress or announcing a new party.

Please share your views on this alliance.
